We brought our 2-year-old twin boys to Pigtails & Crewcuts for their very first haircut experience, and it could not have gone better! From the moment we walked in, Ashley at the front desk greeted us with such a warm and friendly welcome. Even without an appointment, she got us checked in right away and made us feel completely at ease. Our stylist, Shawana, was absolutely amazing! She worked so patiently and skillfully with both of our boys, especially with one of our twins who usually struggles with haircuts. Shawana was calm, gentle, and so attentive to their comfort. You can tell she truly loves what she does and takes pride in her work. She gave both boys the most perfect little fades, something that’s really hard to find for toddlers in this area. Not only did they look adorable afterward, but they actually enjoyed the experience! The chairs, fun atmosphere, and Shawana’s kindness all made such a difference. It’s clear that Shawana and the team at Pigtails & Crewcuts genuinely care about kids and families. We left with two happy boys, fresh new haircuts, and huge smiles all around. We’re beyond satisfied and will definitely be back for every future haircut. If you have a toddler and are looking for a stylist who can do amazing barber-style cuts and make your little one feel comfortable, highly, highly recommend Shawana at Pigtails & Crewcuts!

Three haircuts ago, my son (who is on the spectrum) had a very bad experience where his ear was accidentally nicked. It was traumatic for him, and understandably made future visits very difficult. However, the last two times we went with another stylist, Shawana, and she’s been incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. She took her time, moved at his pace, and made him feel safe again. We are beyond grateful for her care and compassion.

Shawana is a miracle worker! Our son does not like to have his hair messed with, and she managed to give him the cutest cut for his first day of daycare! Patient and kind, she took her time and made sure he was comfortable, even putting on a TV show he likes. And when he was ready for the haircutting process to be over, she quickly and professionally finished up. We will definitely be going back!

I’m so glad we tried this place out! I was able to book a very last minute haircut for my son with Shawana and she was amazing and very friendly! My son is not a fan of haircuts, but she made the experience a great one. She did exactly as we asked and he left feeling confident with his new haircut. We will definitely be back!
